Kasım 2008 ayından itibaren Manzara – Perspectives, Manzara – Istanbul mekanlarında çeşitli sergiler organize edip, yönlendirmekte. Bu mekanlar, kiralık dairelerin yanısıra Suriye pasajındaki geniş salonlar ve Tatar Beyi sokağında bulunan sergi salonundan ibarettir.

Dairelerde kişisel sergileri organize etmekteyiz. Bu vesileyle spesifik olan „sanat ile mekanlar“ konusuyla ilgilenmek ve gerekse mevcut calışmaları, gerekse sadece bu konsept icin yapılan calışmaları bu mekanlarda yerleştirmek adına yerli ve yabancı sanatcıları davet etmekteyiz.

Sanatın, (oturma) mekanlarındakı sunumu, „duvar süslemesi“ birleşimi olmadan düşünülemez. Burada bir sanata olan o ilişki ve kullanımı „sanatın sadece süsleyeci yada daha cok teorik bir fonksiyonda olması ve bu calışmanın, bulunduğu ortam / mekaniyla nasıl bir uyum icinde olduğuna“ dair karar verir (J. Stahl).

Bizler bu sergilerle şu soruyu takip etmekteyizki (yanıtlamak istemekteyiz ki), sanatçıların düşünce ve ilhamları, sadece biryere bırakılmış yada bayağı ama hoşnutluk veren bir boya süsü hissi vermeden, neşekilde mekanlara nakil edilebilir, ve calışmaların içerikleri nasil sade mekanlarda ön plana cikip, belkide özellikle bu mekanlarda optimum etki(leme) alanlarını bulabilirler. Bu çalışmalar birçok aylığına dairelerin bir parçası haline gelmekte. Sergi açılışlarından sonra daireler, tatil evleri olarak hizmet vermekte ve anlaşmaya göre ilgili kişiler tarafından ziyaret edilebilmekte.

Kasim 2008´den itibaren, Arne Uebel, Suat Öğüt, Nancy Atakan, Gamze Özer ve Sena Başöz bu konsept ile yeni çalışmalar ortaya çıkarıp, sanatsal eserlerini değisik mekanlarda sunmuşlardır.

Suriye pasajının salonlarında, senede iki ile üç defa yerli ve yabancı sanatçıların, büyük capta grup– yada tekli sergilerini sunmaktayız.

Eylül 2009´da Tatar Beyi sokağında, “Best Case Scenario” adı altında gecen bir grup sergisi ile yeni bir sergi salonu açılacaktır.

Initi­ated in November 2008, Manzara Perspectives organises and curates exhibiti­ons in the premises of Manzara Istanbul. In addition to the holiday apartments, we use a spaci­ous flat in the Suriye Pasajı on Istiklal Caddesi and an exhibition space in Tatar Beyi Sokak.

In the holiday apartments we realise a series of solo exhibiti­ons. We invite local and internati­onal artists to reflect on this specific situ­ation “art and living spaces” by positi­oning alre­ady existing works in these rooms or by cre­ating new works for this context.

The idea of presenting art in living spaces is so close to decoration that the respective positi­oning of art determines whether “art sho­uld have a rather decorative or more the­oretical function and how coherent the artwork interacts with the place.” (J. Stahl)
The artworks are part of the apartments for a couple of month.

With this exhibition series we want to question how ideas and intenti­ons of the artists can be transferred into habitation contexts without appe­aring stabled or being reduced to a ple­asant blur of color. And we want to question how contents can assert themselves in determined spaces or even find their ideal context/field in this surro­unding. After the opening the flats are used in their usual function as holiday apartments but those who are interested can visit by appointment.

Since November 2008 Arne Uebel, Suat Öğüt, Nancy Atakan, Gamze Özer and Sena Başöz have cre­ated new works for these contexts or presented alre­ady existing works in different flats.

In the rooms of the Suriye Pasajı we curate big group or solo exhibiti­ons with local and internati­onal artists twice or three times a year.

With the group exhibition “Best case Scenario” the new exhibition space in Tatar Beyi Sokak opens in September 2009.

Seit November 2008 organisi­ert und kurati­ert Manzara Perspectives Ausstellungen in den Räumen von Manzara Istanbul. Das sind neben den Feri­enwohnungen die weitläufigen Räume in der Suriye Pasajı sowie der Ausstellungsraum in der Tatar Beyi Sokak.

In den Wohnungen organisi­eren wir eine Reihe von Einzela­usstellungen. Dazu laden wir lokale und internati­onale Künstler ein, sich mit dieser spezifischen Situ­ation „Kunst und Wohnraum“ ause­inander zu setzen und bere­its bestehende Arbe­iten oder extra für diesen Kontext geschaffene Arbe­iten in den Räumen zu positionieren.

Der Gedanke, Kunst in Wohnräumen zu präsenti­eren lässt sich nicht ohne die Konnotation „Wandschmuck“ denken. Dabei entsche­idet der jewe­ilige Umgang mit Kunst, ob „Kunst eher schmückende oder mehr the­oretische Funktion haben soll und wie stimmig das Werk mit seinem Ort in Zusammenhang steht“ (J. Stahl)

Wir möchten mit dieser Ausstellungsre­ihe der Frage nachgehen, wie Ideen und Intenti­onen der Künstler in Wohnkontexte transporti­ert werden können ohne abgestellt zu wirken oder als bloßer erfre­ulicher Farbklecks zu dienen, und wie sich Inhalte in determini­erten Räumen beha­upten können, oder vielle­icht gerade in dieser Umgebung ihr ide­ales Wirkungsfeld finden. Die Arbe­iten sind für mehrere Monate Bestandteil der Apartments. Nach der Eröffnung dienen die Wohnungen weiter als Feri­endomizil und sind für Interessi­erte nach Vere­inbarung zugänglich.

Seit November 2008 haben Arne Uebel, Suat Öğüt, Nancy Atakan, Gamze Özer und Sena Başöz neue Arbe­iten für diese Kontexte entwickelt bzw. ihre künstlerischen Arbe­iten in verschi­edenen Wohnungskontexten präsentiert.

In den Räumen der Suriye Pasajı kurati­eren wir zwei bis drei Mal im Jahr grosse Gruppen– oder Einzela­usstellungen mit lokalen und internati­onalen Künstlern.

Im September 2009 eröffnet mit der Gruppena­usstellung “Best Case Scenario” ein neuer Ausstellungsraum in der Tartarbey Sokak.
